Interlude I 04:18
The first narration's source: "Warming Warning" documentary, ITV Channel, Tuesday, 8 December, 1981 The second speech source: Milton Friedman on the Donahue Show, 1979
2.
Explosion 05:30
She was born into a caring Family And the count of the different tasteful milk bottles Was out of her hands She barely felt the lack of care Taking different classes every day But everyone expected her to be Successful Successful Successful The ways we face The/our society The/our environment The/our domestic and wild animals and ourselves and our future selves and our children and their children in the future, and then right now She was taught to do good to the other She was taught to be caring and nice But prosperity costed her her compassion And the others became overbearing She turned them into steps to reach undespairing Because she had to become Successful Successful Successful
3.
Endless Maze 04:28
The sun starts to shine on the small cubes
And its light blacks out the sight
I was running so as not to fall behind
I was running into the void
into the dark We’re stepping over each other And the molecular movement
keeps the machine wound up and running again
She was running so as not to fall
She was running to get to the top
4.
Panic Attack 03:34
There was an urge to devour There was an urge to conquer And the dams are broken And the flood is incoming And the restlessness at night intensifies with the red sprites Sleep, my love Sleep, my child We shall see another day Sleep, my friend Everybody We will see another day We will see the sunlight Sleep, my love Let’s rest for a bit There was an urge to deny And no will to defy And the heat was too much And we had lost our touch And the restlessness at night intensifies with the red sprites Sleep, my love Sleep, my child We shall see another day Sleep, my friend Everybody We will see another day We will see the sunlight Sleep, my love Let’s rest for a bit
5.
Dissolution 05:06
The dust, the mud, the heavy weight of the past Have covered up our lungs, making it hard to breathe Trying to reach out and escape But she was trapped in a hutch Trying to breathe the air But she was so out of touch We’ve been warned to step into the right direction But we ignored all the signs out there We’ve had the chance to change the path of destruction But we searched for our little joys in life instead We’ve been warned enough to step into the right direction But we ignored all the signs that were out there We’ve had the chance to change the path of destruction We searched for our little joys in life instead Another day was started Another chance to rise up But she was buried too deep That again she chose to sleep Trying to reach out and escape but she was trapped in a hutch Trying to breathe the air But she was so out of touch We’ve been warned to step into the right direction But we ignored all the signs out there We’ve had the chance to change the path of destruction But we searched for our little joys in life instead We’ve been warned enough to step into the right direction We’ve had the chance to change the path of destruction
6.
Interlude II 03:00
From the ashes rises the body of life From the dust, the flowers bloom And the memory of the past Dissolves in the plans for the future The excluded climbs up the stage Tries to write a whole new page This is not a drill This is not a drill
7.
A brand new day, A brand new hope From a thousand of new fishes A few could think about the ocean The night felt in The stream was helping And the moon lit it up There was a shark waiting for the newbies From a thousand of trapped fishes She got the power, She got the guts To tear apart their stomach To make them free, with her sharp lips
8.
Another generation Rising up Another voice spectrum We’ve to amplify The sparkles of hope Making a rainbow With the residuals of the sunlight A new ring around the earth Another chance to Bridge the gap Another chance to Break it down and build it up The sparkles of hope Making a rainbow With the residuals of the sunlight
9.
Horizon 04:34
And the playgrounds are full of the children’s voices Full of the joy of life The will to live Who are we to deny the right to life, for these children Who are we to defy their souls And the school of life has taught them what to do Gave them the power to build their future Who are we to deny the right to life, for these children Who are we to defy their souls

about

Down the River, in two parts, narrates two various possibilities concerning the climate crises we are facing.
